Important notice to AOL users
When using AOL's built-in browser please be aware
that graphics may not display correctly. This issue applies to this
site as well as all other sites on the Internet.
The reason for this is because AOL uses a trimmed
down version of Internet Explorer and compresses graphics resulting in
a poorer quality image. In some versions of AOL, users have the option
not to have the graphics compressed therefore displaying them the way they should
be. To change this setting please consult your AOL help files.
Another option, which I believe is the best, is not
to use AOL's browser at all. You can choose to use either Microsoft
Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. To do so follow the
instructions below:
1) Connect to AOL as you usually do.
Once you have dialed up and you are connect minimize the AOL window
(see Fig.1)
2) Now that you have AOL minimized
go to your computers Desktop and double-click on the Internet Explorer
button (see fig.2)
3) Internet Explorer should come up and you may now
browse the Internet. You will notice that graphics will display
better, pages will load faster, all while connected to AOL and
bypassing it's internal browser.
I suggest you always have the latest version of
Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicater. I personally prefer
Microsoft's Internet Explorer to Netscape's Navigator. You can
